FAQ

What Is CBD?

In simple terms it’s cannabis extract without the psychotic ‘high’ element. It’s perfectly legal and manufacturing follows government guidelines.
Cannabis has numerous chemical compounds called cannabinoids, which affect the brain’s neurotransmitters. Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of these compounds and makes up a large part of the extract. The psychotic (the ‘high’) element of cannabis is a cannabinoid called Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and during the manufacture of CBD liquid, the THC cannabinoid is removed from the extract.

Is CBD Legal?

The psychotic element of cannabis is THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) but CBD has this element removed and is perfectly legal in the EU and the US. In the UK the government has strict rules about the trace elements of THC allowed in CBD products. CBD Club only works with reputable companies that can provide the correct data for their products.

Is CBD Safe?

CBD is treated as a food supplement and studies show that CBD is safe and well-tolerated in humans. As with everything there is potential for side effects, but CBD has been shown to have a better side-effect profile in comparison to medication.

What is CBD Used For?

CBD is a cannabinoid and CBD products are used as supplements. Scientists have studied the effects of cannabinoids on cells in some detail and for a number of years. Cannabinoids are found naturally in the body in the endocannabinoid system.  The endocannabinoid system's function is homeostasis - or the process of keeping the body in a state of being 'just right'.  Cells fire off endocannabinoids as messages to other cells to maintain the balance of homeostasis. Does CBD Effect Other Medications?

You should always consult a doctor before using new supplement if you are taking existing medication.

How Strong is CBD?

CBD comes in a variety of strengths (measured in mg) and bottle sizes (measured in ml). The size and strength required is a down to personal preference, and you may need to experiment at first to see what best suits you.
